ENTREPRENEURSHIP, GOVERNANCE AND DIGITALISATION

FOR GENDER SUSTAINABILITY

Department of Law and Economics Productive Activities

Sapienza University of Rome – Italy

13 January 2023

The Scientific Observatory on Gender Issues Ipazia is pleased to announce the event on the theme "Entrepreneurship, Governance, and Digitalisation for Gender Sustainability"

The 8th Workshop on Gender Issues fits in an international socio-economic context deeply affected by diversity and inequality that have characterized recent economic and social scenarios.

The debate on gender issues is alive in the international context, in fact, it also recurs in the 2030 Agenda, a program of action for people, planet, and prosperity signed by the governments of the 193 member states of the United Nations, and approved by the UN General Assembly. This 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development provides 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which refer to a set of important development issues that take into account the three dimensions of sustainable development - economic, social and ecological - in a balanced manner. Particularly, Goal 5 of the agenda aims precisely at achieving gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls.

In this scenario, the purpose of the Ipazia annual workshop is to analyze the gender issue in the Italian and European context, with a focus on sustainability.

The 8th Ipazia Workshop will be held on January 13, 2023, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the "Pietro Onida" room conference, III° floor, La Sapienza University, Via del Castro Laurenziano 9, 00161 - Rome (IT).
